1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the My Finance Foundation portal at portal.myfinancefoundation.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. About My Finance Foundation
My Finance Foundation ("MFF", "we", "us") is a UK-based private foundation dedicated to supporting international students through educational scholarships and study assistance services.
3. Account Registration
To use most features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as needed
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Application Fees
Our service packages require one-time application processing fees:
- Free Assessment: Initial scholarship eligibility assessment at no cost
- Basic Package: £75 — includes 2-4 university offer letters
- Premium Package: £195 — includes 5-7 university offer letters and double scholarship support
All fees are non-refundable once application processing has begun. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
5. Scholarship Vouchers
Approved scholarship applicants may receive funding vouchers from MFF donor contributions. By accepting a voucher, you acknowledge that:
- The voucher is non-transferable and tied to the named recipient
- The voucher amount represents grant funding from donor contributions to MFF
- The voucher must be used within the stated validity period
- MFF combines the voucher amount with your contribution and forwards to the university
- MFF reserves the right to revoke vouchers in cases of fraud or misrepresentation
- Vouchers are subject to additional terms printed on the voucher PDF
6. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Upload forged, tampered, or unauthorized documents
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or hack any portion of the Platform
- Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Spam, harass, or abuse other users or staff
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without our written consent
7. Document Verification
All submitted documents are subject to verification. MFF reserves the right to:
- Reject documents that are unclear, incomplete, or suspicious
- Request additional verification or original copies
- Suspend applications pending verification outcomes
- Terminate accounts in cases of document fraud
- Report fraudulent activity to relevant authorities
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, the F-arrow design, "Where Funding Meets Future" tagline, software, and design — is owned by My Finance Foundation or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. User-Submitted Content
You retain ownership of documents and content you upload. By submitting, you grant MFF a limited license to use, process, store, and share that content as necessary to provide services to you (such as forwarding documents to universities).
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy and reliability, we do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Specific outcomes of scholarship applications
- Acceptance by any particular university
- That information is always accurate or current
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MFF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.
12. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy (30-day recovery window, then permanent deletion).
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
